This is why I love destination weddings…

Incredible times with your family and your best friends.
This day brought no shorted of laughter and great moments.

So… I’ve decided that I need to love up a bit more on my poor little blog…

Meet Matt and Emily. They were one of the many amazing couples I had the privilege of meeting during my time in Malawi, Africa.
Matt has been serving in Africa for the past 8 years. Then came along Emily. And Matt was very happy.

It was such a joy to capture their joy.

Ahh… it’s good to be back on the beautiful sands of the Caribbean.
This morning we witnessed the most interesting and beautiful rainfall sunrise.
It was glorious.

2012 is going to be a most wonderful year for weddings.

Although I am not a photojournalist, I am an artist. This is a personal photographic journal of a month spent amongst the beautiful people of Malawi.

I had the honor of building friendship with the folks at the Iris Ministries Base in Bangula, Malawi. This was a personal time of rest and relationship. I informally taught photography and music, and participated with aid work in the surrounding villages.

I have the utmost of admiration and respect for the folks I met along this journey. Iris is more of a family than an organization, and the work they do is amazing.

This is not a documentary of the work of Iris, however, as the warm light of an African sunrise cannot help but fill the valleys with it’s golden rays; the kindness of a good God working through the hands of Iris, cannot help but permeate these photographs. These are the faces, the places, and moments that linger in my heart and mind… Enjoy.

Stories are meant to heard,
as much as beauty is meant to be seen.

In a village filled with hunger, a river filled with crocodiles, and a water that could cause blindness….

Here’s one little body enjoying the fullness of life…
